Every family comes to this work with different questions, timelines, and needs. This page gathers what parents most often ask—about access, pricing, and what it truly means to walk through transformation with the In Awe guide. These answers are meant to offer clarity and care as you decide to step into the circle.
Common Questions
-
Most pregnancy resources teach what to expect during pregnancy or how to prepare for birth: milestones, symptoms, logistics, or birth techniques.
In Awe includes all of that and more. It offers practical guidance for every dimension of your pregnancy and beyond—from financial planning and supporting older siblings to baby safety, parenting, identity, relationships, and more—while centering you as a whole person moving through profound change.
It’s not a checklist for a single outcome but a guided passage through transformation itself. You’ll learn how to prepare and also how to integrate—emotionally, spiritually, and socially—the person you’re becoming as this moment opens the world in a unique way: your past, your future, your relationships, who you are becoming, the world you shape. You’re invited to explore identity, legacy, and belonging as central to the journey you’re on.
Rather than teaching one right way, In Awe offers frameworks, reflections, and rituals that help you discern your own. It honors every path and every outcome, weaving together research, cultural wisdom, and your lived experience to restore what pregnancy has always been: a sacred, world-changing transformation.
-
In Awe is spiritual in essence but not tied to any religion. It honors the sacred nature of transformation—the wonder of creation, the mystery of life and loss—without prescribing belief or doctrine.
You’ll find reflections, rituals, and blessings that invite connection to something larger than yourself: lineage, earth, love, continuity. However you name that, spirit, nature, ancestors, God, or simply wonder, this space is made to hold it. Every tradition and no tradition are welcome here.
-
No. In Awe is educational and reflective, not a substitute for medical care.
The course helps integrate body, heart, and culture so your choices can rest within your own clarity and values.
-
Absolutely. In Awe is about sacred transformation, not only about pregnancy itself. You can join or return after earlier births, miscarriages, or years of reflection to walk this path again with new awareness. You’ll find guidance for healing, integration, and legacy—no matter when your pregnancy or loss occurred. If you’ve ever carried life, cared for life, or held space for its memory, you belong here.
-
Absolutely. There are many wonderful and helpful resources to help you through pregnancy, and you’re encouraged to use them. Layer them with In Awe for the fullest support.
While your birth plan, doula, online resources, or prenatal class helps you care for your body and baby, In Awe helps you care for your becoming—the deeper transformation taking place within and around you.
Where other courses may end at birth, In Awe continues through identity, partnership, loss, and renewal. You’ll find language for what is changing, rituals to mark it, and reflections to anchor it, so the practical knowledge you already have can root itself in meaning and presence.

This first edition of In Awe was written especially for older parents, attuned to maturity, timing, and legacy. It remains adaptable and deeply helpful for others who feel drawn to In Awe’s unique approach. Parents who don’t identify as “older” still find it grounding and transformative. Future editions will speak directly to other communities and contexts.
-
Yes. Every course is trauma-informed, outcome-inclusive, and gender-aware. All parents, all paths to family, all identities are honored. Partners are included but not assumed. Future editions will speak directly to specific communities; you are fully welcome in this circle now.
-
Yes. In Awe was designed for partners to be part of the journey from the start. Every chapter includes guidance, scripts, and reflections that help partners understand what’s unfolding—physically, emotionally, and relationally—so you can walk through change together instead of apart.
Each section includes at least one chapter just for your partner and their own transformation: what it means to witness, to protect space, to support recovery, and to grow into themselves through parenthood or grief in their own way. In Awe also includes partner Bridges, dedicated reflections that mirror each module’s threshold from the partner’s perspective, helping both of you build language, presence, and shared legacy through this experience.
You can complete the course side by side or at your own pace, weaving what you learn into the rhythms of your real life.

Loving Legacies is included with In Awe so that the guide walks with you no matter where your journey leads. If you’re discovering this while loss is unfolding, join the Loving Legacies circle. It is offered separately so care is never withheld from families who need it now.
If you’re pregnant again after an earlier loss, In Awe will hold you. You’ll find language for the complexity of hope and grief existing together, practices to help you feel safe in your body again, and reflections that honor both the baby you carry in your belly now and the one you still carry in your heart. You can move gently between In Awe and Loving Legacies as needed. Both circles are yours to belong to.
-
In Awe was created to walk with you through every possible outcome, not only the smooth or expected ones. If your birth unfolds differently than you hoped, you’ll find detailed guidance for healing from physical or emotional trauma, navigating medical complications, and caring for yourself and your baby through birth injuries, NICU stays, or new diagnoses. These experiences are fully acknowledged and supported in Part I.
If your path includes pregnancy or baby loss, Part II: Loving Legacies, is ready to receive you. It offers clear, compassionate guidance for what follows: honoring your baby through memorial options or rituals, caring for your body, including birth injuries and managing lactation, and rejoining the world when you’re ready.
Through it all, In Awe remains centered on your transformation—your becoming. Even in loss, your story continues to unfold with meaning, love, and legacy. You are never left without language, support, or a way forward.
